foods and restaurant

 Just as we have a favorite sport or hobby, we have our favorite food that makes us happy and just by smelling it we already know what it is and its content, we can do it at home, order it at home or simply go to a restaurant to order it.

It is an establishment or place that offers food and drink to paying guests, it is a word with a long history and many different interpretations.

In restaurants we can find appetizers, tickets, drinks, desserts and salads. Although some of these special dishes depend a lot on the status of the restaurant and the food they sell.

Our favorite food is an exquisite and unique dish for us that only we know how delicious it is and how much we are going to enjoy it. Sometimes we eat it slowly so that it lasts longer and it is what we would like to eat every day.

Within the set of meals we find foods, fruits, vegetables, dairy products and meats that allow us to make meals for the time we want to eat and choose when it is appropriate to consume them.

Among all the foods we see, some ask us, others don't, we find foods that are countable and others that are not, for that there is and there are. 

Use there is with uncountable nouns and singular countable nouns. Using there are with plural  countable nouns.

Examples:

There's juice and tangerines in the fridge.

there are cookies and nuts in the kitchen.

In a negative way it would be:

there is no fruit in the fridge.

there is no tomato in the fridge.
